Job summary

Assured Information Security (AIS) is seeking a Principal Software Engineer for our CyberAI team. Hybrid role with onsite 3 days per week and requires an active TS/SCI clearance. You will lead and contribute to the research and development of software solutions for DoD and intelligence customers.

The role demands deep experience in CNO/OCO, low-level systems and secure software development. Expect strong skills in TCP/IP, assembly, Windows/Unix internals, and CI/CD pipelines with GitLab.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/engineering and 11+ years of relevant experience.
• Strong debugging and low-level systems knowledge.
• Experience with TCP/IP networking, socket programming, and CNO concepts.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate software for latent flaws which may constitute a vulnerability.
• Evaluate and develop circumventions for security mechanisms preventing code execution.
• Design and develop hardware and software based CNO capabilities.
• Assist with designing, developing, documenting, testing, and debugging applications.
• Apply knowledge of security concepts and networks; set up virtualized infrastructure for development and testing.
