Job summary

AspenTech is seeking a talented Developer to join the Enterprise Operations Platform team. You’ll drive next‑gen industrial software capabilities, mentor engineers, and collaborate with Architects to deliver a data-centric platform enabling automation for a diverse customer base.

You’ll work on edge‑connectivity and distributed‑computing projects, surface data from plant floors to the cloud, and help design secure, scalable services across modern tech stacks in an Agile environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field.
• 8–12 years of related experience OR advanced degree with less experience.
• Strong understanding of cloud-native technologies, services, architecture, and container orchestration.
• Proficient in designing and implementing RESTful APIs.
• Experience with databases: MongoDB, Postgres, MSSQL.
• Programming languages: Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, C#, Python, Lua.
• Frontend JS: Angular, React.
• CI/CD: Azure DevOps Pipelines, GitHub Actions.
• Cloud & DevOps: Azure, Docker, Kubernetes, ArgoCD, Helm, Terraform.
• Operating systems: Windows, Linux.
• Observability: OpenTelemetry.
• Automated testing: Playwright.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a senior technical resource within a scaled Agile organization, providing mentorship and design guidance.
• Translate high-level designs into scalable, maintainable implementations with Architecture teams.
• Design high-quality, reliable, performant, and fault-tolerant systems.
• Drive system-level qualities: scalability, reliability, performance, security.
• Provide technical leadership and implementation guidance within an Agile team.
• Monitor, support, and maintain software products in Agile environments.
• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for on-premises and cloud.
• Debug integration and performance problems.
• Contribute to a culture of accountability across cross-functional teams.
• Stay current with cloud-native and SaaS best practices.
• Communicate effectively in Agile ceremonies.
