JPMorgan Chase searches for a Principal Software Engineer to join our Consumer & Community Banking group. You will provide engineering excellence building trusted, scalable technology products in a secure environment.

You will guide AI-enabled development, govern secure coding practices, and collaborate with senior leaders across product and technology teams to deliver impact at scale.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification in software engineering with 7+ years of applied experience.
• Experience delivering system design and production-grade software.
• Expertise in one or more programming languages (Python/Java/Go).
• Proven ability to lead AI-enabled development practices and ensure governance.

Responsibilities

• Builds complex, scalable coding frameworks using solid design principles.
• Develops secure, high-quality production code and reviews others' work.
• Architects AI-enabled engineering workflows and defines guardrails for security and resiliency.
• Utilizes enterprise AI-enabled tools to improve speed and quality of delivery.
• Advises cross-functional teams on technical matters within domain of expertise.
• Serves as go-to SME and influences senior leaders across teams.
• Contributes to development of advanced technical methods in product development.
• Creates reusable software frameworks used across teams and functions.
• Influences leaders and executives on safe, scalable patterns.
