Job summary

SBA Communications Corporation in Boca Raton, FL seeks a Principal Software Engineer to lead architectural efforts and mentor the IT development team. The role focuses on scalable designs, aligning technology with business goals, and driving innovations across SBA locations.

You will design reusable frameworks, communicate technical decisions to stakeholders, and guide delivery on large enterprise projects while supporting junior engineers and collaborating with business leaders.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or Technical field.
8+ years developing end-to-end business systems in a publicly traded company.
Experience with the .NET framework, Web technologies, and database scripting.
Ability to present technical details to non-technical audiences.
Applicable industry certifications expected.

Responsibilities

Provide architectural oversight on software projects across the SBA IT Organization.
Promote IT strategy alignment with projects and tasks.
Mentor developers and share methodologies and experience.
Manage employees reporting to this position with leadership and direction.
Stay informed of product releases and development best practices.
Design extensible, stable application frameworks.
Communicate designs to stakeholders and end users.
Review design and development initiatives and provide feedback.
