Insight Global is seeking a Principal Software Engineer / Architect to lead the design, delivery, and governance of Cloud and AI initiatives across platforms. The Engineer/Architect will support enterprise architecture, build scalable cloud solutions, and drive modernization efforts, including migrating critical workloads and data platforms to Azure and Microsoft Fabric. The individual will partner closely with business stakeholders to translate complex modeling and financial needs into secure, compliant, and high-performing technical solutions, while also leading AI and advanced analytics initiatives, establishing engineering standards, and mentoring engineering teams. The Software Engineer will be interacting with both onshore and offshore developers and ensure the teams are on track with meeting deadlines, project needs and goals. The ideal candidate should come from a financial/investment company and have experience with actuarial modeling as well. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in Azure, data platforms, AI/ML, and DevOps practices, along with strong leadership skills and the ability to operate effectively in a regulated enterprise environment. This role will be 50% hands on development and 50% oversight and recommending best practices.
