Extreme Networks is seeking a Principal Software Engineer in Seattle to help lead the development of core platforms and services that process massive data and power AI experiences across the company. You will shape intelligent networking, agentic automation, and real-time distributed systems in a fast-growing environment.

You will mentor engineers, tackle complex problems, and help deliver production-grade solutions on cloud platforms with enterprise-grade reliability.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 10+ years of experience across the complete software development lifecycle including architecture, design, coding, reviews, testing, deployment and operations.
• 7+ years of programming experience in Python, Java, Go, or C++.
• 5+ years leading design of large-scale distributed systems on cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Experience in real-time microservices, stream processing, distributed data platforms, cloud infra, AI or agentic systems.
• Ability to design scalable, high-availability, low-latency systems and mentor engineers.
