Job summary

Minfy seeks a Principal Software Engineer to own and drive end-to-end architecture across application, cloud, data, and AI domains. You will stay hands-on in the codebase, building the hardest components and mentoring the team to raise the engineering bar.

You will translate business requirements into architecture blueprints, design secure, cloud-native AWS solutions, and shepherd production AI systems with guardrails and cost controls.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in software engineering, solution architecture, or technical leadership.
• Hands-on: writing and reviewing production code regularly.
• Strong proficiency in Python and working proficiency in TypeScript/Node.js.
• Experience in architecture across distributed systems, APIs, microservices, and cloud-native apps.
• Experience with AWS compute, storage, networking, security, IAM, IaC, CI/CD, and cost-aware design.
• Experience building AI-enabled production systems (LLMs, retrieval-augmented generation, agentic workflows).
• Data architecture concepts: modelling, governance, lineage, secure data exchange.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end architecture across application, cloud, data, and AI domains.
• Stay hands-on writing and reviewing production code.
• Translate business requirements into architecture blueprints and reference implementations.
• Design and build production AI systems with governance, guardrails, and cost controls.
• Unblock the team by pairing on complex problems and debugging production issues.
• Drive engineering quality through reviews, standards, tests, and production readiness.
• Design secure, cloud-native solutions on AWS with observability and performance.
• Ensure secure-by-design principles and compliance with data protection standards.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, delivery, security, and client teams; assist pre-sales.
• Mentor engineers and lead knowledge transfer for system operation.
