PowerSchool Group LLC in the United States seeks a Principal Software Engineer/Architect to shape our software systems with AI-enabled development at scale. You will lead multi-product architectural decisions, mentor engineers, and drive high-quality outcomes across the SDLC.

Responsibilities include designing, reviewing, and delivering robust full-stack solutions using TypeScript, Java, C#, or Python, while leveraging AI tooling to improve speed, reliability, and maintainability.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent.
• Willingness to travel up to 5-10% for team events and conferences.
• Experience as the primary engineer responsible for large/complex coding projects.
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools and governance of AI solutions.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a highly skilled engineer addressing complex needs across a multi-product portfolio.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to enhance and create applications, leveraging AI insights.
• Make architectural decisions for performance, scalability, and reliability, including AI-driven approaches.
• Write clean, maintainable code across TypeScript, Java, C#, Python, and related stacks.
• Engage in code reviews, debugging, and SDLC activities from design to deployment.
• Mentor engineers and promote best practices for high-quality software development.
