Job summary

Jobtailor in the United States is seeking a senior software engineering leader to guide a team building production agents, shape patterns, and drive tool integration.

You will own the platform architecture, ensure testing and observability, and work with product leadership to translate the vision into a deliverable roadmap. This role demands deep proficiency in Python and TypeScript and a track record of mentoring engineers.

Qualifications

• 8–12+ years of software engineering experience.
• Deep proficiency in Python and TypeScript.
• Track record of technically driving teams, mentoring, setting standards, and shipping complex systems.
• Experience building agentic or multi-step automated systems, including tool orchestration, LLM reasoning loops, or agent frameworks.
• Ability to set architectural direction and reusable patterns adopted by other engineers.
• Experience designing for non-deterministic behavior, edge cases, and failure, with testing and observability to catch them.
• Candidates must be located in Farmington Hills / Metro Detroit, Michigan; Frisco, Texas; or Cincinnati, Ohio.

• Nice to have: LLM safety, evaluation, or governance systems experience.
