Job Description

Principal Engineer will serve as the foremost expert within the engineering organization, driving technological excellence and innovation across multiple teams.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

• Architectural Leadership: Design and oversee microservices architectures, ensuring scalability, resilience, and alignment with business goals.
• Technical Expertise: Act as a technical authority and provide guidance and mentorship to engineers at all levels.
• Innovation and Strategy: Lead the exploration and adoption of emerging technologies and practices.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Work with product management, operations, and other stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Code Quality Assurance: Ensure high standards of code quality through rigorous code reviews and best practices.
• Process Improvement: Identify and drive initiatives to enhance development processes, tooling, and methodologies.

Qualifications

YOU'VE GOT WHAT IT TAKES IF YOU HAVE:

• 10+ years of software development experience:
  • 6+ years with modern object-oriented languages (C# preferred).
  • 3+ years as a technical lead/senior software engineer guiding a team.
  • 4+ years working in cloud environments (Azure preferred).
• Microsoft AZ-900: Azure Fundamentals (must be obtained within 60 days of start if not current).
• AI-200: Azure AI Cloud Developer (must be obtained within 6 months of start if not current).
• Preferred additional certifications: AZ-400, AZ-305, and other advanced architecture/security certifications.

Additional Information

IN OFFICE REQUIREMENT:

Requires residence in North Carolina within commutable distance to Morrisville, NC Headquarters. Expect to work in office approximately 30 days per quarter.
