Position Overview

We are looking for a talented Principal Software Developer who is passionate about building innovative solutions for Autodesk prospects, customers, and partners. You will be empowered to catalyze our growth from $5b to $10b+ through improved funnel conversion, hypothesis-driven experimentation, productivity, automation, insights, and experiences to increase revenue.

Responsibilities

• Work within a scrum team with about 7-8 engineers
• Drive and foster collaboration with other scrum teams worldwide
• As the primary developer, lead the design, implementation, testing, and delivery of web applications and services
• Help the team remove obstacles, drive solutions for challenges, predict risks, and develop mitigation plans
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders at different phases regarding requirements clarification, solution/planning review, and progress sharing
• Demonstrate engineering excellence and contribute to high-quality team deliveries
• Promote best practices within the team/product and share achievements externally
• Possess advanced expertise, requiring deep subject-matter knowledge and sound business acumen to advise leaders
• Translate specialized subject-matter requirements into business needs and requirements
• Interpret internal/external business issues and recommend best practices to address them
• Solve complex problems requiring in-depth evaluation and broad perspective to identify optimal solutions
• Work independently with guidance in complex or unusual situations
• Adapt communication style to persuade stakeholders and interact with senior leaders, providing advice and SME
• May lead functional teams or programs within own or related functions

Minimum Qualifications

• BS or higher in computer science or related technical discipline
• 6+ years of software development experience in commercialized products or large-scale systems
