Alaffia Health is seeking a Principal Engineer to drive architectural direction, scale systems, and guide AI-augmented development within our healthcare SaaS platform. You will mentor engineers, shape technical roadmaps, and partner with product teams to achieve business outcomes.

We look for deep full-stack expertise, strong communication, and a passion for building reliable, compliant software in a fast-growing healthtech environment.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of software engineering with breadth and depth.
• Enterprise SaaS delivery across multiple teams.
• Define and execute technical vision at scale.
• Expert in TypeScript, Python, GraphQL and PostgreSQL.
• Experience with AI coding assistants and boosting productivity.
• Deep full-stack web development, cloud infra (AWS).
• CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes and DevOps practices.
• Strong project management with milestone planning.
• Excellent communication and mentoring skills.
• Healthcare tech, HIPAA/HITRUST preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical design for large projects across systems.
• Set direction for coding practices, APIs, and libraries.
• Mentor engineers and drive engineering standards.
• Collaborate with business and product teams for decisions.
• Champion AI coding tools to accelerate velocity.
• Own testing strategy and system health across features.
