A regional financial institution is seeking a Principal Software Architect to lead software design and development within Mascoma Technologies. This role requires hands-on Python development and collaboration with the software team to address complex technical challenges. The ideal candidate will have over 7 years of experience in software development, a strong grasp of design principles, and a passion for innovation. The Principal Software Architect must have extensive knowledge of software development practices and banking practices, and will use that knowledge and experience to create functional, elegant, and maintainable solutions to complex technical challenges.
The Principal Software Architect must also be able to do both hands-on Python development, high-level design, and architecture for the team. The software developed and/or architected by the Principal Software Architect, in collaboration with the Software Development team, will enable Mascoma Technologies to meet rapidly growing business needs and maintain a technical competitive advantage in the financial industry. They will take direction from the Director of Software Engineering and may at times be relied upon to provide insight and mentorship to more junior team members.
Work Location: This position can be performed remote within our VT, NH and ME market areas.

Salary Description
$120,443- $162,598/per year based on experience
