Strategic Storage Partners, LLC in Louisiana seeks a Senior Engineer to lead engineering and design for maintenance-related projects and capital changes. You will develop design packages, review capital additions, and ensure reliability of plant systems.
Required are a Bachelor's in Mechanical, Chemical, or Civil Engineering and 10 years in the petroleum/petrochemical industry with proven experience in instruments and controls. PE license is desirable.

REQUIRED: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Civil Engineering, experience -10 years in the petroleum/petrochemical industry and plant engineering. Experience in the area of instruments and controls are essential. Good written and oral communication skills essential.
DESIRED: Professional Engineering license desirable.

Provide designs and prepare Summary of Work packages for maintenance type construction subcontracts and Change Notice revisions to same. Prepare Corrective Maintenance plans for major repetitive tasks, such as component replacements and develop standards specifying the end product and the resources needed for these tasks. Perform and support failure analysis.
Participate in review phases of design of capital additions and changes in site layout to ensure full maintainability of equipment, utilities and facilities. Apply value analysis to make maintenance decisions. i.e., repair/replace and repair/redesign. Provide technical support to Operations, Procurement, Maintenance, ES&H, and Quality Assurance on projects under construction. Participate and lead, as needed/directed, the Readiness Review Board (RRB) meetings. Participate in Pre-Construction and Pre-Bid Meetings, as required.
Prepare Engineering Change Requests/Proposals for revisions to the program baseline and submit these to the appropriate change boards. Perform configuration management functions to facilitate implementation, readiness review boards, and close-out of ECP’s.
Assist Site Maintenance in planning, scheduling, analysis, and maintenance of the Databases of Vibration and Fluid Analysis of the Predictive Maintenance Program. Provide technical review, direction and routing of preventive and predictive maintenance activities.
Provide direction and facilitate work priority. Provide oversight as related to the Configuration Management and Technical Data Center duties and requirements as per the process/procedure. Prepare or participate in the preparation of training material. Perform or oversee employee training. Monitor performance and conduct performance appraisal and progressive corrective actions. Provides guidance, motivation, coaching and feedback. Attend meetings (Monthly Safety Council, CEC and other meetings as required.
