Job summary

Stantec Consulting International Ltd. seeks a Principal Site/Civil Engineer to grow and lead its Community Development practice in New Mexico.

The role guides rural, public roadways, parks, and private site development while building lasting client relationships across the state. You will mentor staff, oversee multiple projects from planning through construction support, and provide senior technical direction across site/civil, roadway, drainage, and utilities.

Qualifications

• Strong leadership and mentoring abilities for a site/civil and local roadway design team.
• Proven experience managing scope, budget, schedule, quality, risk, and client satisfaction.
• Ability to win work, build client relationships, and navigate public/private sector projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and grow a site/civil and roadway design team.
• Serve as primary client and internal partner contact, ensuring clear communication.
• Manage projects from planning through design and construction support.
• Provide senior-level review for site/civil, drainage, grading, utility, and infrastructure documents.
• Support business development and strengthen state presence in New Mexico.
