THE ROLE:

AMD is seeking a Server Product Architect to join our Data Center System Architecture and Engineering team. You will develop world-class products around EPYC processors, engaging with key customers, internal architects, field application teams, and stakeholders to define EPYC product architecture. This involves technically analyzing, defining outside-in usage cases, and mapping across a broad spectrum of technologies to ensure a holistic, constrained system spanning silicon, platform hardware/software, and usages to deliver optimal customer experiences. You will provide a cohesive technical vision considering prioritized use cases and scalability.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Define server product architecture
• Architect solutions using AMD processors, accelerators, network components for high-performance computing, servers, and data centers, leading system hardware innovation
• Collaborate with customers, processor architects, IP and SoC architects, network and I/O device architects, software developers, and business units to define requirements for performance, power, and cost
• Research and develop next-generation server designs to improve performance
• Influence future products/solutions by contributing to product/system architecture and technology execution
• Deep knowledge of product architecture including memory, I/O, signal and power integrity, packaging, power delivery, thermal management, firmware, and hardware management
• Proven experience working with leading tech companies to engineer outstanding products based on new SoCs/CPUs/chipsets
• Establish credibility with engineering and leadership teams, communicate technical results clearly, and drive alignment on solutions

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

• Experience working on multiple server projects from architecture to validation, including memory, I/O, power delivery, firmware, and hardware management
• Understanding of industry standards like DDR, PCIe, SATA, and other high-speed I/O protocols
• Track record of solving engineering problems and delivering innovative products
• Ability to work across disciplines and geographies to achieve results

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

• Engineering degree in Electrical, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science with extensive experience
