MACOM in Newport Beach, CA is seeking a Principal/Senior Test Engineer to lead the development, maintenance, and optimization of production test solutions for advanced RF semiconductor products. You will apply RF measurement techniques, test hardware know-how, and data analysis to ensure robust test coverage and high product quality in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Come be a part of MACOM and help advance the next generation of connectivity infrastructure!**Principal/Senior Test Engineer**We are seeking a highly motivated Semiconductor Test Engineer to develop, maintain, and optimize production test solutions for advanced RF semiconductor products. The ideal candidate will possess hands-on experience in RF characterization, production testing, automated test systems, and data analysis. This role requires strong technical expertise in RF measurements, test hardware, software development, and yield improvement methodologies to support high-volume manufacturing.As part of a cross-functional engineering team, you will work closely with Product Engineering, Design Engineering, Manufacturing, Application and Quality teams to ensure robust test coverage, high product quality, and efficient production performance.**Responsibilities:**• Develop Test Strategy for RF semiconductor products from characterization through high-volume manufacturing• Provide test hardware architecture and design recommendations to support test solution development• Create comprehensive test plans to verify product performance and ensure compliance with customer Datasheet• Develop, debug, and optimize automated production test programs to improve test coverage, reduce test time, and maximize manufacturing throughput and product quality.• Assist Quality with root-cause analysis for test failures, investigate low yield issues, and help with corrective actions.• Utilize test lab equipment including power supplies, oscilloscopes, signal generators, spectrum analyzers, and network analyzers to perform measurement correlation between bench equipment and ATE platforms• Understand and debug PCB/hardware/Tester/prober issues**Required Qualifications:**• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering• Minimum 5+ years of semiconductor test engineering experience.• Strong understanding of RF measurement principles and calibration techniques.• Experience with ATE platforms, preferably Chroma, Catalyst, Agilent or similar semiconductor production test systems.• Proficient in C++• Data analysis and presentation skills**Preferred Qualifications:**• Experience with high-frequency RF and microwave testing.• Experience with automated wafer probe systems.• Knowledge of statistical analysis, DOE, and yield improvement methodologies.• Hands-on experience with Oscilloscope, VNA, Power Supply• Analyze characterization and production data to improve yield and performance.**EEO:**MACOM is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to a diverse workforce.
