Key Responsibilities
- Work with a broad customer base to identify unique requirements, translate them into design documentation, and collaborate with a diverse team to build and test solutions.
- Present to customers on product capabilities, performance analyses, design information, and requirements verification methods.
- Generate, review, and manage multiple requirement sets covering performance, non-performance, mechanical interfaces, electrical interfaces, data requirements, environmental requirements, and reliability.
- Respond to contract milestones and deliverables.
- Lead an Agile team to ensure designs meet system requirements.
- Work with various Agile teams to verify requirements through inspection, analysis, demonstration, or testing, providing test and data‑reduction scripts as needed.
- Provide test direction to ensure production and troubleshooting tests are executed correctly and that resulting data conforms to requirements.
- Develop simulation models for sensors and systems.
Basic Qualifications – Principal System Engineer
- B.S. in a STEM discipline with 5+ years of engineering experience, or M.S. with 3+ years, or Ph.D. with 1+ year.
- Experience with IBM Rational DOORS and technical baseline management.
- Experience in system engineering activities such as software requirements development, requirements development, test‑case development, and verification & validation.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Experience supporting test investigations and debugging efforts.
- Collaboration with cross‑functional teams.
- Current/active U.S. Government Secret clearance.
- Ability to work onsite full‑time in Woodland Hills, CA.
Basic Qualifications – Senior Principal System Engineer
- B.S. in a STEM discipline with 8+ years of engineering experience, or M.S. with 6+ years, or Ph.D. with 4+ years.
- Experience with IBM Rational DOORS and technical baseline management.
- Experience in system engineering activities such as software requirements development, requirements development, test‑case development, and verification & validation.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Experience supporting test investigations and debugging efforts.
- Collaboration with cross‑functional teams.
- Current/active U.S. Government Secret clearance.
- Ability to work onsite full‑time in Woodland Hills, CA.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in an engineering Agile team.
- Experience with JIRA.
- Experience in large, complex systems.
- Laboratory and system integration experience.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Understanding of Model Based Systems Engineering and Cameo modeling (or equivalent).
- Experience with ClearQuest / ClearCase.
Salary and Benefits
Primary Level Salary Range: $114,000 – $171,000. Secondary Level Salary Range: $142,200 – $213,400.
