Job summary

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems in Woodland Hills, CA is seeking a Principal or Senior Principal Reliability Engineer who can obtain a Secret clearance to join our Specialty Engineering Team onsite in Woodland Hills. You will perform reliability allocations, conduct FMECAs, and support FRACAS with a focus on avionics and navigation systems.

The role requires experience in RMT disciplines, the ability to read schematics, and collaboration with IPTs, customers, and suppliers. A U.S.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering (or related STEM) with 5+ years of relevant experience; Master’s with 3 years; PhD with 1 year.
  • Experience in Reliability, Maintainability, and Testability disciplines.
  • Ability to read electronic circuit schematics and understand component failure modes.
  • Experience developing a Piece-Part FMEA/FMECA.
  • Clear and effective verbal and written communication; U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain security clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Perform Reliability and Maintainability allocations and predictions for avionics and navigation systems.
  • Conduct FMEA, FMECA, and Testability analyses.
  • Support FRACAS and BIT design verification testing.
  • Collaborate with IPTs, program management, customers, and suppliers on RMT aspects.

Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
