Northrop Grumman Corp. in Woodland Hills, CA seeks a Sr Principal Systems Engineer for the Integration & Test (I&T) team. You will translate customer needs into verifiable requirements and lead testing across hardware and software interfaces on a fast-paced program.

Team leadership, strong communication, and a background in verification and validation are required. This on-site role offers a pathway to advanced responsibilities within the I&T department.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience with a BS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Alternatively 6+ years with MS or equivalent; 3+ years with PhD. Active secret clearance.
• Experience in system engineering activities including requirements development and test.
• Strong teamwork and leadership demonstrated on complex projects.

Responsibilities

• Identify customer requirements and translate into design documentation.
• Develop test procedures, verify and validate against requirements.
• Perform analyses, trade studies, and requirements allocation.

As a member of the I&T department, the candidate will work in a fast-paced team environment alongside physicists, design engineers, and superconducting foundry engineers to make our technologies a reality. This position will serve on-site at our Woodland Hills, CA facility. This position will be 100% on-site.Job ResponsibilitiesIdentifying unique requirements from a broad customer base, flowing the requirements into design documentation, and working with a diverse team to build and test those requirementsWork on the capabilities of current products, performance analyses, design information, and requirements verification methodsEnsure logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraintsPerform functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocationGenerate, review, and manage multiple requirements sets that cover all aspects of both performance and nonperformance including mechanical interfaces, electrical interfaces, data requirements, environmental requirements, and reliabilityDesign, develop, and implement testing methods to verify and validate project requirementsPerforming hands-on electrical testing at CCA level and systems level test setupsDocumenting & dispositioning hardware discrepancies, pursuing root cause & corrective actionsBasic Qualifications:8 years relevant experience with B.S. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
