Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems in San Diego, CA seeks a senior Product Support Project Manager to lead cost, schedules, and technical assessments for defense programs. You will develop BOEs, TAMs, ROMs, and manage EVM as a WPM or CAM on development or sustainment efforts.

Required are a degree with 5+ years (principal) or 3+ years (Sr. Principal) in related work, with clearance eligibility. Strong BI/Data viz skills (Tableau/PowerBI) and familiarity with FAR/DFAR are valued assets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with relevant experience for Principal level.
• Master's or PhD with applicable experience for higher level.
• Experience with cost types and cost elements.
• Knowledge of Product Support disciplines and BOE/TAM/ROM development.
• Ability to obtain/maintain government Secret clearance; TS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage Product Support projects for NGAS and related programs.
• Support development and sustainment program efforts.

• Develop BOEs, TAMs, and ROM estimates.
• Apply Product Support disciplines such as RM, Tech Publications, DMSMS, Training, and Modeling.
• Participate in proposal activities and PRB processes.
• Use data viz and BI platforms as applicable.
• Perform Earned Value Management as WPM or CAM as relevant.
• Travel approximately 25% of the time.

• Develop BOEs, Technical Assessment Matrices (TAMs), and/or Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) estimates
• Apply Product Support technical disciplines including Reliability and Maintainability, Technical Publications, DMSMS and Obsolescence, Training, and Modeling and Simulation
• Participate in proposal activities and potentially the NGAS Business Unit Proposal Review Board process
• Use data visualization and business intelligence platforms as applicable
• Perform Earned Value Management activities as a Work Package Manager or Control Account Manager as applicable
• Travel approximately 25% of the time

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and 5 years of relevant professional experience OR a Master's degree and 3 years of relevant professional experience OR a PhD degree and 1 year of relevant professional experience for Principal level
• Bachelor's degree and 8 years of relevant professional experience OR a Master's degree and 6 years of relevant professional experience OR a PhD degree and 4 years of relevant professional experience for Sr. Principal level
• Experience understanding cost types and cost elements
• Knowledge of Product Support Technical Disciplines, including Reliability and Maintainability, Technical Publications, DMSMS and Obsolescence, Training, and Modeling and Simulation
• Experience with BOE, Technical Assessment Matrix (TAM), and/or Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) development
• Ability to obtain and maintain a government-issued Secret clearance within a reasonable period
• Active in-scope Secret or Top Secret Security Clearance preferred
• Previous experience working Product Support efforts on development and/or sustainment programs preferred
• Knowledge of government proposal Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Defense FARs (DFAR) preferred
• Experience with an NGAS Business Unit Proposal Review Board (PRB) process preferred
• Working knowledge and experience with data visualization and business intelligence platforms such as Tableau or PowerBI preferred
• Earned Value Management experience as a Work Package Manager (WPM) or Control Account Manager (CAM) preferred
• Previous experience working on RQ4 or MQ4 programs preferred
• U.S. Citizenship is required for positions with a government clearance and certain other restricted positions
