Northrop Grumman is seeking a Principal Facilities Engineer or a Senior Principal Facilities Engineer Level 3/4 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. The position is located in Clearfield, UT.
This is a Weekdays 9/80 schedule.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Schedule contractors and provide SOW.
Take ownership of equipment - writing PM plans and responsible for critical spare parts.
Conduct Annual E-FMEA on assigned equipment.
Demonstrate strong organizational skills in managing time, projects, and resources.
Exhibit excellent verbal and written communication skills, as this position engages with cross-functional team members.
Responsible for communication regarding machine downtime.
Support operations IPT.
This position may be filled as either a level 3 or level 4 depending on qualifications below:
Basic Qualifications:
Principal Facilities Engineer Level 3:
Bachelor’s Degree in STEM discipline with 5 years of Engineering experience in relevant fields OR Master’s degree with 3 years of experience OR PhD in STEM with 1 year of experience.
Experience supporting manufacturing facilities.
Knowledge and ability to use Lean Manufacturing tools.
Applied knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Project).
Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance and Special Program Access.
Sr. Principal Facilities Engineer Level 4:
Bachelor’s Degree in STEM discipline with 8 years of Engineering experience in relevant fields OR Master’s degree with 6 years of experience OR PhD in STEM with 4 years of experience.
Experience supporting manufacturing facilities.
Knowledge and ability to use Lean Manufacturing tools.
Troubleshooting industrial equipment for Mechanical, Electrical, Pneumatic, Hydraulic, PLC, Drives failures.
Demonstrate Root Cause Corrective Action, 5 Why and 8-Disciplines problem solving methods.
Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance and Special Program Access.
Preferred Qualifications:
Understanding of the NEC and NFPA 70E.
Revit and AutoCAD drafting experience.
Experience designing and commissioning power distribution systems.
Ability to maintain one line drawing for multiple buildings.
Interpret building and utility drawings and make revisions as required.
Demonstrated knowledge of Utah Code and Regulatory requirements.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong organizational skills in managing time, projects, and resources.
Applied knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Project).
Ability to design security systems to the ICD705 is preferred.

Salary Range: $86,600 - $130,000
Salary Range 2: $107,800 - $161,800
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
