Overview

TRC is seeking a talented, motivated, and experienced Principal or Senior Civil/Environmental Engineer, Geologist, or Environmental Scientist to join our Engineering, Construction, and Remediation practice in Concord, CA. The position requires a strong business development and technical background and a solid reputation of building and maintaining key client relationships. This position would work closely with clients, principals, and client managers locally and regionally, leading staff in performing remediation, investigation, monitoring, facility compliance, permitting, process, and other environmental activities to serve our clients. We are looking for an enthusiastic, flexible, and personable individual with a willingness to supervise and mentor.


Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and grow client accounts.
  • Collaborate with our internal team for business development opportunities.
  • Manage projects and provide technical leadership to ensure internal and external expectations are met for scope, budget, schedule, and quality.
  • Develop proposals resulting in the award of new work with clients.
  • Provide financial management of projects resulting in profitable work.
  • Build and strengthen team and staff through management, engagement, and mentorship.

Qualifications

  • Ability to interpret and communicate complex technical information clearly and concisely, within established frameworks for technical reporting, presentation, and discussion.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills, including experience interfacing with clients in a professional and service-oriented manner.
  • High capacity for teamwork, creative collaboration, and responsible leadership and delegation; ability to work with individuals of diverse backgrounds and maintain a positive and professional work atmosphere.

Required Education and Training:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in civil or environmental engineering, geology, environmental science, or related field.
  • 20 or more years of environmental investigation and remediation experience.

Required License or Certification:

  • Valid California Driver's License
  • Professional Engineer (PE, Civil) or Professional Geologist (PG) certification in the state of California, desired
  • OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER certification, including current refresher training

Compensation: In accordance with local law, the below salary range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors.

Other Compensation: Employee may be eligible for participation in the Company’s annual Discretionary Bonus Program which is contingent on Company, Business Segment, and Individual performance against Key Performance Indicators which vary by year and employee.
