Principal Security Technical Architect - Innovation Hub

Overview

Our network of global Microsoft Innovation Hubs are premium customer-facing facilities built to help enterprise customers solve their business challenges through innovative cross-workload solutions. We accelerate our customers' digital transformation by capitalizing on the changing needs of our customers and the new business opportunities of tomorrow.

In our Microsoft Innovation Hub located in Washington D.C., we are looking to hire a Principal Technical Architect with Security subject matter expertise. You will be a trusted customer advisor in areas such as Security operations, Threat Intelligence, Cyber Incident Response, Penetration Testing/Red Teaming, Microsoft Security offerings, Zero Trust Principles, Identity and Access Management Control platforms like Entra, Cloud security, regulatory compliance standards, Endpoint device and application controls like Intune, and frameworks such as CIS, NIST, CSA, CMMC, etc.

As the sole security leader in our Hub, you will have the opportunity to shape and drive the security strategy and vision for our clients and partners. You will collaborate with other Architects specializing in Data & AI, Modern Work, Core Infra, and App Innovation. Working onsite in the Hub, you will be at the forefront of Microsoft innovation, helping customers create and implement strategies for their digital transformation and cloud adoption.

This role is based in the U.S. and is onsite only at our Microsoft Innovation Hub. Relocation is not provided for this position.

Responsibilities

1. Deliver customer engagements: Prepare and deliver technical sessions such as strategy workshops, architecture design, prototypes, and hackathons, leveraging capabilities across the Microsoft cloud platform.
2. Solution design: Use your technical expertise to design solutions that meet customer needs and encourage adoption of Microsoft solutions and cloud services.
3. Set vision: Inspire customers with a compelling digital vision across Microsoft workloads and your core technology area.
4. Build strategy: Translate customer visions into actionable implementation strategies, addressing concerns, removing technical barriers, and validating business cases.
5. Expert in security: Guide decision-makers on compliance, risk reduction, and business value using Microsoft Security platforms. Serve as the regional security technical expert and contribute to content development and evangelism.
