Warner Bros. Discovery, a premier global media and entertainment company, seeks a Principal, Security Engineering & Vulnerability Management for WB Games. You will drive security strategy, policies, and standards across WB Games operations, aligning cybersecurity with the evolving WB Games strategy.

You will lead security initiatives, collaborate with global teams, and drive remediation at scale while promoting a strong security culture across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related discipline preferred, or 10+ years of technical security experience.
• 10+ years of supervisory or management experience in a technical security environment.
• Strong technical engineering background with the ability to engage with software, infrastructure, and platform teams.
• Hands‑on experience securing the SDLC with source control and build platforms (GitHub/Perforce) and embedding security controls.

Responsibilities

• Security Adoption: act as the primary link between WB Games and WBD’s centralized cybersecurity functions.
• Lead the adoption and enforcement of Global Information and Content Security policies across WB Games.
• Partner with GICS leadership to drive adoption of core security services (IAM, logging, detection, vulnerability management, product security, cloud security).
• Provide direction on security projects, ensuring compliance with global standards and best practices.
• Support regulatory/compliance requirements and develop implementation strategies.
• Foster a strong security culture and promote awareness across WB Games functions.
• Lead vulnerability and threat reporting, driving analytics and executive-level reporting.
• Drive vulnerability remediation at scale across internet-facing and internal assets with engineering owners.
• Support security operations and incident response teams in investigations and mitigations.
• Evaluate and recommend security solutions to strengthen detection, response, and remediation.
• Handle security exceptions with documentation and risk acceptance processes.
• Secure development: collaborate with engineering and studio teams to embed security in SDLC across GitHub and Perforce pipelines.
• Drive secure development tooling and controls (SAST, DAST, secrets mgmt, dependency scanning, branch protections, CI/CD guardrails).
• Champion secure-by-design and threat modeling across game studios and live-service platforms.
• Lead security reviews for new games and major updates before public exposure.
