Amazon Development Center U.S., Inc. is seeking a Principal Security Engineer for AWS Support-Kumo to lead security engineering across a range of platforms and technologies.

You will shape how we implement shift-left security, design and build secure services, and guide teams toward secure solutions with strong cross-functional collaboration. Qualifications

• 10+ years of hands-on security engineering experience.
• 10+ years of risk assessment and enabling organizations to make security decisions.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Experience communicating technical concepts to a non-technical audience.
• Experience with hands-on security engineering.
• Experience applying threat modeling or other risk identification techniques or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Bring security expertise into a team of engineers guiding technical decisions as well as prioritization of features.
• Be a hands-on technical leader building and testing the products being designed.
• Partner with engineering leaders across Kumo to reduce the friction for builders to develop services that are secure-by-design.
• Drive security decisions across product development workstreams.
• Developing comprehensive security guidance documentation including policies procedures and best practices to serve as a reference for the organization.
• Designing and building security tools tailored to the organization's needs enhancing the overall security posture.
