Scholastic is seeking a Principal Security Engineer in New York City with a focus on designing and implementing security architectures across cloud, network, and applications. You will lead security tooling, incident response playbooks, and cross-team collaboration to strengthen detection, response, and risk reduction.

You will automate controls for audits and work with SOC, IT, and compliance teams to ensure CIS benchmarks and regulatory requirements are met in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in information systems, engineering, or equivalent work experience.
• Security certifications such as ISC2, SANS, ISACA preferred.
• 10+ years designing and implementing security solutions (IAM, EDR, MDM, SIEM, KMS, PAM).
• 5+ years in SOC or Continuous Monitoring.
• 5+ years in Incident Response roles.
• Hands-on with Java, C#, C++, JavaScript, HTML.
• Experience implementing SOX, PCI, NIST CSF, CIS Controls, SANS Controls.

Aufgaben

• Design and implement security architecture across cloud, network, endpoint, and applications.
• Lead security tooling enhancements and scale detection/response capabilities.
• Collaborate with SOC to develop and maintain incident response playbooks.
• Automate security controls and evidence collection for audits (SOX, PCI, SOC 2).
• Monitor threats, perform root-cause analysis, and drive risk remediation actions.
• Develop KPIs to measure security posture and tooling consolidation.
