We are seeking a Principal Security Engineer to lead the charge in safeguarding our platforms and products with world-class security solutions. This high-impact role requires a leader with vision and technical authority, collaborating across teams to design, implement, and promote security frameworks that protect our critical infrastructure. This is an opportunity to set the standard in security engineering, influence a diverse range of projects, and ensure our platforms remain resilient against emerging threats.
In this role, you will act as the senior security technical leader, defining and implementing security standards and practices aligned with company goals, regulatory requirements, and industry standards. You will be the primary authority on security domains such as identity and access management, network security, data protection, and application security. Responsibilities include designing and deploying secure, scalable architectures, conducting risk assessments, identifying vulnerabilities, and developing mitigation strategies. You will collaborate with engineering, product, legal, and compliance teams to integrate security into product design and infrastructure, fostering a security-first culture. Mentoring engineers and providing thought leadership to drive innovative security practices are key aspects of this role. You will also lead security incidents and investigations, including post-mortem analysis and forensic reviews, to enhance security protocols continually.
At Apple, base pay is part of a comprehensive compensation package, determined within a range based on skills, qualifications, experience, and location. The salary range for this role is $197,400 to $360,200. Employees may also participate in stock programs, receive benefits such as medical and dental coverage, retirement plans, discounts, educational reimbursement, and potential bonuses or relocation assistance.
