Salary Range: $125,351 - $154,845 annually.

Location: Hybrid remote and office-based, within one hour of Eugene, OR headquarters.

Role Overview:

Principal Security Engineers collaborate with Technology Services and Information Security teams to enhance OCCU's security. Responsibilities include planning, implementing, maintaining, and troubleshooting network and system hardware, endpoints, and software, as well as network, system, and database administration to ensure security and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Collaborate with teams to ensure maintenance, patching, and mitigation.
2. Implement security policies across systems, software, architecture, and services.
3. Maintain secure and reliable operation of sites, systems, and services.
4. Develop and implement new security platforms.
5. Implement solutions for endpoint devices, mobile devices, and servers.

Qualifications:

• Minimum five years in cybersecurity, focusing on endpoint protection and network security architecture.
• Knowledge of NIST, ISO 27000 series, and CIS Controls.
• Experience with Cisco AMP, CrowdStrike, or Symantec Endpoint Protection.
• Skills in firewalls, VPNs, and cloud security (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Excellent communication, troubleshooting, and analytical skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft systems, scripting, and automation tools.
• Knowledge of networking products, SAN technologies, VDI, and ITIL environments.
• GIAC Security Operations Certification required.
