McBride Consulting invites a Principal Security Assistant to support the Aerospace Dominance Enabler Division (AFLCMC/ESDI) at Hill AFB, Ogden, Utah. The role provides expert-level security assistance for DoD programs, aiding government leadership throughout the acquisition lifecycle to ensure compliance, mission success, and delivery of critical capabilities to the warfighter.
Responsibilities
- Support as Security Assistant under the mandate of Government Security Managers and Security Administrators.
- Assist with collateral and Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) security programs.
- Execute security oversight responsibilities for the Air Force Cognizant Security Authority (CSA).
- Administer and maintain information security, personnel security, operational security (OPSEC), industrial security, communications security (COMSEC), acquisition security, physical security, and anti‑terrorism/force protection programs.
- Develop, review, and maintain Security Classification Guides (SCGs), Security Operating Procedures (SOPs), and related documentation.
- Support Program Protection Plan (PPP) development and implementation.
- Prepare, review, coordinate, and administer DD Form 254 and related security requirements.
- Process and manage personnel security actions using DISS and other governmental systems.
- Conduct security inspections, self‑assessments, compliance reviews, and audit preparation.
- Support SCIF, CAP, and secure facility operations, including access control, visitor management, and safeguarding classified information.
- Identify, investigate, and report security incidents, violations, and vulnerabilities.
- Provide security training, awareness briefings, and guidance to government and contractor personnel.
- Support anti‑terrorism and force protection requirements as directed.
- Coordinate with military personnel, government civilians, contractors, and external security organizations to ensure mission success.
Qualifications
- Minimum Qualifications:
- U.S. citizenship.
- Active Top Secret clearance.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- 25 years of experience in the discipline being performed, with 15 years in DoD; or 30 years of directly related experience, with 20 years in DoD.
- Understanding of counterintelligence threats and trends.
- Familiarity with DoD and Air Force security policies, manuals, directives, and instructions.
- Experience with DISS, SCIF operations, and DD Form 254 processes.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
