About Gondola Bio:

GondolaBio is a collection of biopharmaceutical companies focused on developing next-generation therapeutics for genetic diseases. Originally carved out of BridgeBio, GondolaBio secured $300M in private financing from external investors in 2024 and became an independent company within the BridgeBio ecosystem. GondolaBio aims to leverage cutting-edge biological research to discover, create, test, and deliver transformative medicines to treat patients who suffer from genetic diseases.

Neurofibromatosis Type 1 (NF1), a genetic condition where tumors grow on the nerves and skin, is the focus of a pre-clinical stage program in GondolaBio’s portfolio. NF1 affects multiple organ systems, with a wide range of manifestations ranging from neurofibromas (benign nerve sheath tumors) that carry the risk of malignant transformation, to learning difficulties and bone abnormalities. Despite having two FDA-approved MEK inhibitors for NF1 patients, there is still a huge unmet need in providing safer and more efficacious treatment options to the NF1 patients, and GondolaBio strives to address this gap.

Who You Are:

The primary responsibilities of this position are to serve as a DMPK representative on multi-disciplinary drug discovery teams, provide guidance and support to project teams for candidate selection, and further characterize the pharmacokinetic and drug metabolism properties of molecules through early development to IND. This individual will have the opportunity to be exposed to a broad spectrum of therapeutic areas across the portfolio.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with cross-functional project team members. Participate as a functional representative on the NF1 project team
  • Provide guidance on discovery project teams for candidate selection, develop and drive DMPK strategies for lead optimization, and solve ADME-related issues
  • Design, coordinate, and interpret in vitro and in vivo DMPK studies
  • Determine PK parameters for nonclinical studies using Phoenix WinNonlin and assist with the application of modeling approaches (PK, PKPD) to support human PK and dose predictions
  • Support GLP toxicology studies, review toxicokinetic reports, and monitor regulated bioanalysis
  • Monitor bioanalytical method development, validation, sample analysis, and review/approve reports
  • Generate, analyze and present data, both orally and as written reports
  • Potential to work across multiple discovery programs

No matter your role at GondolaBio, successful team members are:

  • Patient Champions, who put patients first and uphold strict ethical standards
  • Entrepreneurial Operators, who drive toward practical solutions and have an ownership mindset
  • Truth Seekers, who are detailed, rational, and humble problem solvers
  • Individuals Who Inspire Excellence in themselves and those around them
  • High-quality executors, who execute against goals and milestones with quality, precision, and speed

Education, Experience & Skills Requirements:

  • PhD or Pharm D. in Pharmacokinetics, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related field with a specific focus on small molecule pharmacokinetics and metabolism with at least 3-6 years of relevant industry experience
  • Strong understanding of DMPK principles and drug development processes
  • Expertise in drug metabolism is desirable
  • Hands-on experience using pharmacokinetic data analysis software such as Phoenix WinNonlin
  • Able to work independently and possess excellent interpersonal skills
  • Possess effective problem-solving, oral, and written communication skills

  • A collaborative, fast-paced, data-driven environment where we inspire ourselves and each other to always perform at the top of our game
  • Access to learning and development resources to help you get in the best professional shape of your life
  • Robust and market-competitive compensation & benefits package (Base, Performance Bonus, Equity, health, welfare & retirement programs)
