Job summary

ICR is seeking a Principal Scientist to lead the Cancer Prevention Group, focusing on peptide-based cancer vaccines and immuno-oncology. The role requires a PhD or MD with 10+ years in vaccine development, including neoantigen strategies and immune monitoring.

You will guide end-to-end preclinical studies, collaborate with CROs and external experts, and advance programs toward human translation in the U.S. immunology community.

Qualifications

• PhD, MD or both with at least 10 years of vaccine development experience
• Experience researching personalized cancer vaccines including peptide-based and neoantigen-based approaches
• Experience with vaccine epitope identification, adjuvants, and immune response monitoring
• Experience with T cell receptor repertoire analysis, proliferation assays, cytokine release assays, and ELISPOT
• Expertise in cancer antigens, neoantigens, immuno-editing and immuno-monitoring
• Experience with vaccine delivery systems including peptide-, cell-, and viral-based systems
• Ability to manage CROs and external projects
• Strong collaboration with external KOLs and CROs; apply even if not all criteria met

• Drive end-to-end design, execution and interpretation of preclinical vaccine studies, directly shaping the path to human translation

• A PhD, MD or both and at least 10 years of vaccine development experience, preferably cancer vaccines
• In-depth knowledge of and experience researching personalized cancer vaccines, including peptide-based vaccines and neoantigen-based cancer vaccines
• Extensive experience with vaccine epitope identification, selection/prioritization (of neoantigens), vaccine adjuvants and immune response monitoring
• Experience with molecular T cell receptor repertoire analysis and tracking, T cell proliferation assays, cytokine release assays and ELISPOT
• Experience deriving antigen-specific T cell clones and lines
• Expertise in cancer stem cell antigens, tumor-associated antigens, neoantigens, immuno-editing and immuno-monitoring
• Extensive knowledge of and experience with vaccine delivery systems, including peptide-, cell- and viral-based systems
• The ability to work well with CROs and manage external projects

Salary

Starting base pay range: $165,000/yr - $215,000/yr

Starting additional compensation range: $7,500/yr - $20,000/yr
