Job summary

Scorpion Therapeutics seeks a senior automation/data integration expert to build cohesive automation solutions integrating robotics, instrumentation, and software. You will translate lab needs into scalable digital workflows and collaborate across automation, data science, modeling, IT, knowledge capture, and CMC.

You will lead projects from concept to deployment, improve platforms, and ensure end-to-end workflows are enabled by semantic metadata and AI-ready data.

Qualifications

• PhD + 6 years, MS + 8 years, or BS + 10 years in a related field.
• Experience with bio/pharma process development and analytics.
• Independent, cross-functional collaboration experience.
• Understanding of ontologies, metadata, semantic data, and knowledge representation.
• Experience enabling AI-ready data via semantic technologies and data integration.

Responsibilities

• Develop automation systems integrating robotics and software into cohesive solutions.
• Partner with researchers to translate experimental needs into scalable digital workflows.
• Collaborate across automation, data science, IT, and knowledge capture.
• Lead projects from concept through deployment and improve platforms.
• Integrate instrument platforms with semantic context and data systems.
• Provide hands-on partnership, support, troubleshooting, and training to scientists.
