A Curie.Bio portfolio company is looking for a Senior Polymer Chemist Consultant to lead and scale the polymer function for an early-stage, well-capitalized biotech company currently operating in stealth mode. This individual will serve as the internal expert in polymer chemistry and manufacturing, owning polymer development programs and CRO oversight.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently interpret and guide polymer development data generated by CRO partners.
• Design and propose new experiments to meet development objectives.
• Act as the primary scientific liaison with a China-based CRO, including meetings, protocol review, and follow-up.
• Review technical documentation and ensure scientific rigor and alignment with program goals.
• Present clear, actionable recommendations to internal, cross-functional teams.

Ideal Background

• PhD or equivalent experience in Polymer Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, or related field.
• Senior-level, hands‑on experience in controlled polymer synthesis and polymer development.
• Hands‑on RAFT polymerization experience.
• Knowledge in polymer characterization and analytical methods.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and scale polymer programs, including CRO oversight.
• Strong understanding of polymer development and CMC requirements as it relates to clinical manufacturing readiness. Experience working with global CROs and cross-time-zone teams is strongly preferred.
• Specification setting and documentation to support regulatory filings.
