Responsibilities
  • Conduct technical engineering studies for developing computerized control systems.
  • Design and prepare technical specifications for complex SCADA control system features.
  • Analyze equipment for conformance with operational standards and design plans.
  • Evaluate process computer systems and perform software modifications.
  • Develop operational logic, testing procedures, and maintenance manuals.
  • Simulate operational malfunctions and recommend program modifications.
  • Instruct operating and maintenance personnel on automatic control systems.
  • Lead technical personnel in assigned tasks and prepare project reports.
  • Act as a technical lead for troubleshooting and diagnostics of SCADA systems.
  • Support Data Acquisition System (DAS) installations and retrofits for PV systems.
  • Document PV plant communications networks and DAS systems.
  • Utilize diagnostic tools to troubleshoot complex SCADA systems.
  • Coordinate with clients, vendors, and technicians for on-site and remote diagnostics.
  • Maintain records of SCADA device management and support activities.
  • Contribute to SCADA solution designs with technical impact analysis.
  • Ensure compliance with NERC CIP-004 standards, including periodic background checks.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 10+ years of professional experience in SCADA Engineering.
  • Proficiency in designing, commissioning, and supporting SCADA systems.
  • Strong knowledge of industry automation protocols such as Modbus, DNP3, and OPC UA.
  • Familiarity with PV solar plant electrical design and monitoring functions.
  • Understanding of RS-232/RS-485 and Ethernet TCP/IP networking.
  • Excellent communication and customer support skills, including conflict resolution.
  • Ability to interpret diagrams and schematics, including power system layouts.
  • Experience managing multiple project priorities and deliverables.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools.
