Job summary

Honeywell International, Inc. is seeking a Principal SAP S/4 IT Analyst to lead finance R2R, leveraging deep SAP S/4HANA FI/CO expertise to design, implement, and optimize enterprise financial systems.

You will report to the Senior IT Manager and work on a Hybrid schedule from Houston, TX, with potential to work from Charlotte or Atlanta offices; onboarding includes a 90‑day onsite requirement.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of SAP FI/CO experience with extensive hands-on configuration
• Experience leading/consulting S/4HANA transformation programs
• Experience in agile delivery models or SAP Activate methodology
• Deep understanding of US GAAP/IFRS, financial close lifecycle, intercompany accounting, and financial reporting
• End-to-end finance process knowledge in R2R
• Strong knowledge of S/4HANA Finance and FI/CO integration
• Experience with SAP Fiori and EPM integrations

As a Principal SAP S/4 IT Analyst supporting finance Record-to-Report (R2R) processes here at Honeywell, you will leverage your deep expertise in SAP S/4HANA finance and management accounting modules to design, implement, and optimize enterprise financial systems that drive business efficiency and accuracy. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring seamless integration and alignment of financial processes with business objectives, supporting strategic decision-making and operational excellence.

You will report directly to our Senior IT Manager and you’ll work out of our Charlotte, NC, Atlanta, GA or Houston, TX office on a Hybrid work schedule.

Hybrid Work Schedule Note: For the first 90 days, New Hires must be prepared to work 100% onsite M-F

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead SAP solution design, configuration, and delivery with extensive hands-on expertise across core finance and controlling processes.
• Drive SAP S/4HANA Finance transformation programs using SAP Activate and Agile methodologies, ensuring alignment with business goals and best practices.
• Design, configure and support SAP S/4HANA Financial Accounting (FI) and Controlling (CO) modules with a heavy focus on General Ledger, Asset Accounting, and Period-End Close tools.
• Oversee end-to-end integration of SAP FI/CO, ensuring seamless cross-functional business processes.
• Implement and support SAP S/4HANA Finance solutions including Universal Journal and SAP Fiori applications.
• Lead integration of SAP S/4HANA with upstream & downstream systems, including core EPM systems while ensuring compliance.
• Provide solution architecture guidance, stakeholder collaboration, and governance across complex finance transformation initiatives.

YOU MUST HAVE

• 6+ years of SAP FI/CO experience with extensive hands-on configuration expertise
• Experience leading/Consulting S/4HANA transformation programs
• Experience in agile delivery models or SAP Activate methodology
• Strong proficiency in following core areas:
• Universal Journal (ACDOCA), General Ledger (FI-GL), Profit/Cost Center Accounting, Asset Accounting, including S/4HANA Universal Asset Management
• Deep understanding of accounting principles (US GAAP/IFRS), the financial close lifecycle, intercompany accounting, and financial reporting.
• Proven experience with:
• S/4HANA Finance
• SAP Fiori applications
• Integration with downstream and connected applications including external EPM systems
• End-to-end finance process knowledge in Record-to-Report (R2R)

• Procure-to-Pay (P2P)
• Order-to-Cash (O2C)
• Familiarity with internal financial controls and audit requirements (such as SOX compliance)

• Experience working closely with finance stakeholders to drive process improvements

• Demonstrated leadership experience in cross-functional and global project environments
