This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Principal Sales Solutions Consultant based in the United States. This senior-level role offers the opportunity to shape strategic healthcare technology solutions and drive growth through consultative selling and enterprise solution design. You will partner with healthcare payer clients to understand their business challenges, technology environments, and long-term goals, translating complex needs into integrated solutions with measurable value. Working across sales, product, engineering, technology, and delivery teams, you will connect data, analytics, interoperability, and workflow capabilities to address critical healthcare challenges. You will lead executive discussions, technical workshops, solution architecture, and value-engineering initiatives throughout complex enterprise sales cycles. This remote position is ideal for an experienced healthcare technology professional who combines deep payer industry knowledge with technical credibility, commercial insight, and strong executive communication skills.

Accountabilities
  • Lead strategic discovery sessions and current-state assessments with prospective and existing healthcare payer clients to understand business priorities, operational workflows, technology environments, regulatory obligations, and desired outcomes.
  • Design and communicate integrated, end-to-end solution strategies that connect healthcare data, analytics, interoperability, intelligence, and workflow capabilities across multiple solution areas.
  • Develop solution architectures, data flows, integration models, API approaches, interoperability patterns, and future-state roadmaps that address client requirements and support scalable implementation.
  • Lead technical and solution-consulting strategy for complex enterprise sales opportunities, partnering with sales teams to qualify opportunities, develop pursuit strategies, position differentiators, and align proposed solutions with client priorities.
  • Facilitate executive workshops, architecture discussions, technical whiteboarding sessions, demonstrations, proofs of concept, pilots, and technical validations to establish solution fit and reduce implementation risk.
  • Develop compelling executive presentations, value propositions, and business cases that connect technology capabilities to measurable financial, operational, clinical, member, regulatory, and strategic outcomes.
  • Translate complex technical and operational concepts into clear, persuasive narratives tailored to C‑suite executives, business stakeholders, operational teams, enterprise architects, and technical decision‑makers.
  • Evaluate vendor and solution capabilities, technical feasibility, implementation requirements, dependencies, risks, and potential barriers to adoption, ensuring proposed commitments align with product capabilities and delivery expectations.
  • Identify cross‑selling, upselling, account expansion, and future transformation opportunities by connecting immediate client needs to broader enterprise solutions and emerging market priorities.
  • Collaborate with product, technology, engineering, delivery, security, legal, finance, and healthcare domain experts to develop coordinated recommendations and validate solution strategies.
  • Share client feedback, competitive intelligence, market developments, and recurring requirements with internal teams to inform product strategy, innovation, and roadmap planning.
  • Mentor and guide other solutions consultants, contribute reusable architecture patterns and value‑engineering resources, and represent the organization at client meetings, industry conferences, and strategic engagements.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, business, computer science, information technology, engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant professional experience.
  • At least 12 years of experience in healthcare technology, solution consulting, pre‑sales, sales engineering, enterprise architecture, healthcare consulting, or a comparable client‑facing role.
  • Significant experience within the healthcare payer ecosystem, with a strong understanding of payer business models, operational processes, technology environments, and data systems.
  • Proven experience selling, positioning, or supporting complex enterprise healthcare technology solutions and managing multi‑stakeholder sales cycles.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead strategic discovery, current‑state assessments, solution workshops, architecture discussions, technical demonstrations, whiteboarding sessions, and validation activities.
  • Experience designing and presenting integrated enterprise architectures involving data flows, APIs, integrations, interoperability patterns, workflows, and scalable technology environments.
  • Knowledge of healthcare payer functions, including claims, encounters, enrollment, eligibility, prior authorization, provider management, payment integrity, risk adjustment, quality improvement, Stars, HEDIS, and member engagement.
  • Understanding of healthcare interoperability standards and technologies, as well as integration patterns, ETL processes, cloud platforms, enterprise architecture, analytics, workflow automation, and complex healthcare data ecosystems.
  • Strong commercial acumen and the ability to translate technical capabilities into measurable business value, compelling business cases, and differentiated solution recommendations.
  • Excellent executive presence and the ability to communicate effectively with C‑suite leaders, business stakeholders, operational teams, enterprise architects, data professionals, and technical audiences.
  • Strong analytical, critical‑thinking, problem‑solving, facilitation, prioritization, and decision‑making skills, including the ability to navigate ambiguity and respond effectively in high‑pressure client engagements.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, relationship‑building, and stakeholder‑management capabilities, with the ability to influence decisions and build consensus without direct authority.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple concurrent opportunities, collaborate across cross‑functional teams, and maintain accuracy and responsiveness in a fast‑paced sales environment.
  • Willingness and ability to travel for client meetings, workshops, conferences, and other business needs.
  • Ability to maintain reliable high‑speed internet access and a dedicated, secure remote workspace.
