Job summary

PG&E is seeking a Manager/Principal level professional to lead risk analytics, compliance, and strategic risk management within the Electric Risk & Compliance organization. The role supports governance and oversight across Electric Operations, with hybrid work expectations 2–3 days in office in the Bay Area.

The salary range reflects Bay Area compensation practices, with base salaries from $133k to $238k, based on location and experience.

Qualifications

8 years of experience in risk analytics development and modeling.
2 years managing projects.
Master’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead development of risk metrics and stress scenarios.
Lead development of commodity prices, derivatives and transactions as needed to analyze and quantify risks.
Develop framework for implementing tools and processes to improve quality and timeliness of risk reports.
Lead design of analytical tools to ensure accuracy and timely computation of risk metrics.
Lead assessment of hedging strategy effectiveness.
Develop quantitative models to support forecasting, valuation, and portfolio risk assessment.
Provide analytical support and quantitative risk assessments for business decisions.
Lead development of risk-informed compliance frameworks to meet regulatory requirements.
Lead horizon scanning to identify emerging risks and regulatory changes.
Develop data-driven business cases for risk mitigation and provide strategic direction on NERC compliance.
