DescriptionWe are
seeking an experienced Principal Research Administrator who, under the general
direction of the Department Chair, Chief Administrative Office, Chief Financial
Officer and other Department leaders, will work closely with the research
administrative staff, to manage all pre-award administration for both intra and
extramurally funded research awards for Departmental Principal
Investigators.
Salary
offers are determined based on various factors including, but not limited to,
qualifications, experience, and equity. The full annual salary range for this
position is $83,800.00 - $179,400.00. Please note that the department's target
pay range is $92,600.00 - $147,400.00.
QualificationsRequired:
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance or related
field, or equivalent experience.
- 1-3 years of complex research
administration portfolio.
- Advanced ability to set priorities and
complete ongoing tasks with competing deadlines, with frequent
interruptions, to meet programmatic and financial needs.
- Meticulous attention to detail in a
fast-paced, fluctuating workload environment.
- Demonstrated proficiency with Adobe and
Microsoft suite software, especially Excel.
- Experience with all types of award
mechanisms, including grants, contracts, subcontracts, and cooperative
agreements.
- Advanced knowledge of effective grant
funding processes, procedures and techniques
- Full knowledge of Federal Acquisition
Regulation, Code of Federal Regulations, sponsor-specific policies,
intellectual property policy, conflict of interest requirements,
publication rights, application of indirect cost rates and other complex
concepts in research administration.
- Ability to perform highly complex financial
analysis and customized reporting.
Preferred:
- 8+ years of extensive research
administration experience.
