Job summary

City and County of San Francisco seeks a Principal Business Analyst to support PeopleSoft Reports & Analytics in the Financials system. The analyst will perform functional and technical tasks including reporting, data extraction, and dashboard development.

Five years in information systems and strong SQL/PLSQL, data warehousing, and ERP/SCM experience, preferably in the public sector, are highly valued in this temporary exempt role with salary range $155,298–$195,338.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent with 60+ credits in business, IS, finance or related field.
• Five years in information systems, including analysis, design, and IT project management.
• Experience with government or large complex financial systems is preferred.
• Strong SQL/PLSQL, data warehousing, and enterprise data modeling knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Analyze interrelationships of business processes and financial data to define reporting requirements.
• Develop data structures, specifications, and dashboards per stakeholder needs.
• Lead testing, user support, training, and documentation across teams.
• Supervise staff and manage project risks throughout the SDLC.
