Job summary

City and County of San Francisco, in its Controller’s Office, seeks a Principal Business Analyst for the SF Reports & Analytics team. You will partner with City staff to support PeopleSoft Reports & Analytics within the Financials system, performing both functional and technical tasks including data modeling, dashboards, and data extraction.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent with 60+ semester credits in a related field.
• Five years of information systems experience including system analysis and business process design.
• Substitution: +1 year experience may substitute for the degree.
• Completion of 1010 Information Systems Trainee Program may substitute for degree.

Responsibilities

• Analyze interrelationships of business processes and financial data to develop reporting requirements and data structures.
• Perform fit/gap analysis and define configuration settings.
• Develop and test security roles and permissions; write specs and documentation.
• Design and build dashboard solutions and data extraction workflows.
• Supervise support resources and manage risks throughout the SDLC.
