Job summary

Monarch Quantum in San Diego, CA seeks a Principal Reliability Engineer to build foundational reliability practices. You will lead DfR for the Quantum Light Engine hardware, work with Systems Engineering, drive FMEA across hardware, firmware and software, and shape HALT/RDT strategies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering field; Master’s or PhD preferred.
• 8+ years of relevant experience in hardware reliability.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end Design for Reliability planning and execution for Monarch Quantum’s hardware.
• Collaborate with Systems Engineering to align with reliability goals.
• Lead FMEA across hardware, firmware, and software.
• Define goals for photonics module reliability testing, HALT and RDT.
• Lead reliability trade studies for repairability and prognostic data.
• Develop Reliability Characterization and Growth campaigns for photonics.
