Job description

Description

Oracle Compliance is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Regulatory Compliance Specialist to join our dynamic team. As a key player in our global organization, you will be responsible for end to end intake of new compliance programs including performing gap assessments, informing leadership on regulatory changes, and pioneering compliance automation capabilities so that we maintain a high level of compliance while building efficiency across the organization.

Responsibilities

Compliance is facing increasing demand to evaluate, interpret, and respond to compliance and regulatory requirements across a growing Oracle Cloud product portfolio. This role is responsible for the intake process end to end: facilitating new compliance and regulatory requests, assessing whether Oracle should adopt them, presenting recommendations to leadership, and executing gap assessments to determine whether Oracle Cloud products meet required controls.

This role requires specialized knowledge of how Oracle Cloud products are developed, how controls are implemented across products and services, and how regulatory requirements translate into operational and technical obligations. Complexity is increasing as requests span more products, frameworks, and cross-functional stakeholders, requiring this role to evaluate not only whether requirements can be met, but whether adoption is practical, scalable, and aligned to Oracle’s compliance strategy.

This role is also intended to support broader Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) initiatives, including development of a Unified Control Framework that is intended for enterprise-wide adoption and will serve as a foundational input to Oracle's future automation capabilities.

Ideal candidate will have the following skills:
  • 8+ years audit program management experience with either a “Big 4” accounting firm, or a mid-level accounting firm.
  • 4+ years proven experience as a Regulatory Compliance Specialist or similar role.
  • Knowledge of industry and regulatory frameworks is preferable, such as, ISO 27000 Series, PCI DSS, SOC, etc.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Possess ability to explain complex auditing topics to audiences with no auditing experience.
  • Ability to prioritize, manage, and deliver on multiple projects simultaneously and partner with management in support of key initiatives and projects.
  • Strong bias toward action, flexible, resourceful, and able to operate effectively within a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Superior communication skills (interpersonal, verbal, presentation written, email, tickets, etc.).
Preferred Qualifications:
  • JIRA and Confluence experience strongly preferred.
  • AI Tools (OpenAI)
  • Professional certification in regulatory compliance (i.e. PMP, PgMP, CISA, CISM, CISSP, CIPP).
