EVONA is seeking a senior radar systems engineer to define architectures for spaceborne MTI/GMTI and to develop Doppler-processing algorithms for SAR-based moving targets. You will model performance across orbital geometries, lead trade studies, and collaborate with RF, FPGA, software and systems teams to implement algorithms in hardware.
The role requires eight or more years in radar or signal processing, strong MATLAB/Python skills and the ability to translate mission needs into verifiable
We're supporting a VC-backed, early-stage space technology company developing scalable, electronically steered radar payloads for advanced geospatial intelligence missions.
The technology will operate from low Earth orbit, using synthetic aperture radar to observe the Earth and detect, track and understand moving targets—including vehicles, ships and aircraft.
You'll join a small, highly technical team working on a radar capability that does not exist at this scale today. This is not a narrow support position—you’ll have the freedom and responsibility to shape the MTI architecture, develop the algorithms and help turn them into operational space hardware.
The role offers a base salary of $195,000-250,000, meaningful equity and significant technical ownership.
This is a full-time, on-site position in Redmond, Washington. Candidates outside Washington must be genuinely willing to relocate.
U.S. citizenship, lawful permanent residency, refugee/asylee status or other applicable U.S. export authorisation is required due to ITAR-controlled technology.
