Job summary

Boston Scientific seeks a Principal R&D Electronics Hardware Design Engineer to define, design and test analog and digital electronics for EP ablation medical devices. You will contribute to high voltage PFA treatments and interface circuits as part of EP's electrical equipment design team.

In this role you will design circuits, debug, document tests, collaborate with manufacturing, regulatory, quality and clinical teams, and mentor technicians and junior engineers while maintaining a strong

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of PCB layout experience with Altium Designer and documentation.
• 5+ years of analog circuit design and switching power supply design.
• Strong analytical and simulation skills (SPICE or MATLAB).
• Lab experience with debugging, test fixtures and instrumentation.
• Ability to work well in a team and communicate clearly in English.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, debug, modify and test electrical circuits and systems.
• Maintain existing products by addressing End Of Life and Reliability issues.
• Resolve engineering problems and implement corrective measures.
• Select electronic circuits, components, tools, and equipment using best practices.
• Document development of electrical components with procedures, reports, memos and change requests.
• Track electrical component development efforts by creating and maintaining records in approved tracking management tools.
• Clearly communicate key technical updates with relevant parties to facilitate informed decision-making.
• Develop new products or process enhancements to strengthen BSC's intellectual property portfolio in key strategic areas.
• Work collaboratively with process development, quality, manufacturing, regulatory, clinical research and marketing departments on complex projects to ensure success.
• Train technicians and other engineers or give them work instructions.
• Always demonstrate a leading commitment to patient safety and product quality by adhering to all documented quality processes and procedures.
