As the Principal Quality Assurance Engineer , you will play a critical leadership role in overseeing the quality of our major financial services client’s engineering and development efforts. You will guide an Agile team of skilled engineers to ensure the delivery of high-quality technical solutions. This role involves close collaboration with engineering leaders, senior management, and end users to drive quality across the entire software development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all stages of the software development lifecycle to ensure adherence to quality standards.
• Design and execute comprehensive test strategies and plans to validate functionality, performance, and cost-effectiveness.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including software, systems, infrastructure, and network engineers—to establish automated testing pipelines.
• Develop and implement quality assurance protocols and best practices across development stages.
• Engage with stakeholders and end users to gather feedback and continuously improve testing processes.
• Promote test-driven development and identify opportunities to reduce test cycles and costs.
• Analyze and document test results, providing actionable recommendations and solutions.
• Mentor and coach quality engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
• Design high-level automated test cases in BDD format based on user stories.

Required Qualifications

• 9+ years of experience in QA engineering or related fields, including hands-on experience with complex, multi-tiered systems.
• 7+ years of experience designing and executing tests using modern testing methodologies and tools.
• Proven leadership experience managing engineers or technical teams.
• Strong analytical, debugging, and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with UNIX/Linux and Windows environments, including standard UNIX utilities for testing and diagnostics.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience handling sensitive financial data or working in the financial services industry.
• Background in cybersecurity, including relevant coursework or certifications.
• 5+ years of experience with test automation, including framework setup and CI/CD integration.
• Familiarity with automation tools such as Selenium, Cucumber, TestComplete, Eggplant, Appium, Perfecto, ReadyAPI, etc.
• Experience with tools like GitHub, JIRA, and Xray.
• Knowledge of DevSecOps practices and tools (e.g., Jenkins, SonarQube).

Education & Certifications

• Required:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Preferred:Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
