Job summary

RTX, the world's largest aerospace and defense company, seeks a Principal Program Specialist, Security to develop, administer and maintain security policies to ensure NISPOM compliance in a fast-paced environment. This is a U.S.-based, on-site role in El Segundo, CA.

You will participate in multiple security programs, coordinate with program management, conduct briefings, and liaise with government agencies to uphold contract security standards. Active Top Secret clearance required.

Qualifications

  • Active TS clearance required before start date.
  • Typically requires a university degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 5 years relevant experience; advanced degree with 3+ years acceptable.

The Principal Program Specialist, Security will help develop, administer, and maintain the program’s security policies and procedures in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment to ensure compliance with the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM).

What You Will Do
  • Participates in the administration and coordination of multiple security programs/activities to ensure compliance with government and company security policies and procedures.
  • Identifies program issues and implements corrective actions to identified security problems as directed.
  • Conducts security briefings and maintains security education programs.
  • Works closely with Program Management to identify security requirements and vulnerabilities.
  • Reviews security program requirements for efficiency and standardization.
  • Acts as a liaison with government agencies / organizations to ensure contract security compliance.
Qualifications You Must Have
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued Top Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
  • Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior
  • relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field andminimum 3 years experience
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
Qualifications We Prefer
  • Previous experience as a security professional supporting in an Industrial Security role
  • Experience with NISPOM and SEAD3
  • Completed related training and/or certification with DCSA and/or CDSE

The salary range for this role is 95,500 USD - 181,700 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
