Job summary

L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Principal, Program Management for the Spectral Solutions Division, located in Palm Bay, FL or Fort Wayne, IN. You will lead the Program Excellence Function and partner with the Division VP to drive strategic initiatives and improved execution.

You will coordinate cross-functional teams, manage metrics and forecasts, and support growth with Business Development. DoD security clearance is required, and travel is expected at least monthly.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and 12+ years of relevant experience; graduate degree with 10+ years also acceptable.
• Experience in Earned Value Management, Risk Management, and Change Management.
• Experience leading cross-functional, multi-geographical teams within a matrix organization.

• Drive Repeatable Program Excellence (RPX) improvement efforts across the Division.
• Lead business initiatives as directed by the Division Vice President.
• Partner with functional leaders and program teams to improve execution and business outcomes.
• Serve as the Division point of contact for program management functional issues.
• Track key program metrics, maintain scorecards, and communicate trends to leadership.
• Coordinate Independent Review Team (IRT) activities and ensure action items are closed.
• Support standardized tools and processes for programmatic and financial forecasting.
• Partner with business leaders and Business Development to support execution strategy and long-term growth.
• Ability to travel as needed (expectation is at least once per month).
• Ability to obtain a DoD Security Clearance.

Job Description

The Spectral Solutions Division within the Space Systems Sector is seeking a strategic, results-driven Program Manager to help lead key business initiatives and strengthen program execution across the Division.

This leader will partner closely with the Division Vice President and serve as the head of the Program Excellence Function, driving improvements in people, processes, and tools to support strong business performance. This is a unique opportunity to shape Division strategy, elevate program excellence, and make a meaningful impact on critical national security missions.

• Experience in Earned Value Management, Risk Management, and Change Management
• Experience leading cross-functional, multi-disciplinary, multi-geographical teams within a matrix organization

Preferred Additional Skills

• Experience with Department of Defense, Intelligence Community, and/or Overhead Persistent Infrared Missions
• Experience in satellite development, integration, test, and on-orbit support
• Project Manager Professional (PMP) certification
• Business/financial acumen; global business acumen in defense or aerospace and/or relevant technology markets with broad knowledge of changing defense markets.
• Influence and make recommendations at all levels of the organization.
