Job summary

Disney ABC Core Content Technologies seeks a Principal Product Software Engineer to set technical direction for high‑scale content platforms and multiply the impact of engineers across the organization.

You will split time between coding, design, and architecture, owning systems that ingest and publish content across ABC Brands, Marvel, NatGeo, and Disney, while driving architectural excellence and mentoring teams.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience crafting large‑scale, highly available services.
• Expert in backend architectures across multiple teams.
• Strong programming skills in Java and solid CS fundamentals.
• Experience with caching and distributed systems.
• Proven ability to work with source control and Agile practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, implementation, and delivery of software in complex spaces and write critical‑path code.
• Deconstruct architectures into independently deliverable components across teams.
• Build relationships with stakeholders to inform technical strategy and drive alignment.
• Set engineering standards and promote AI‑assisted tooling for productivity gains.
• Mentor engineers and support career growth across Disney.
