Job summary

Humana Inc. is seeking a Principal Product Owner to translate product vision into actionable roadmaps for an Agile delivery team.

You will define user stories, prioritize backlog, and guide cross-functional stakeholders to deliver value on time and within budget. You will partner with senior executives to shape enterprise-wide strategies, mentor teams, and act as the primary decision-maker for product direction in a remote/hybrid setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s or Doctorate preferred.
• 10+ years of technical experience and 2–5 years of project/people leadership.

Become a part of our caring community The Principal Product Owner is responsible for conveying product vision and roadmap to an Agile delivery team by defining user stories and prioritizing product backlog. The Principal Product Owner provides strategic advice and guidance to functional team(s). Highly skilled with broad, advanced technical experience. The Principal Product Owner maximizes value of product created by Agile team. Liaises with stakeholders and the development team ensuring the right product is being built, in the right order, within budget and by the deadline. Serves as the Agile team's primary contact for information, work prioritization, and decision-making. Works with senior executives to develop and drive segment or enterprise-wide functional strategies. Advises one or more areas, programs or functions and provides recommendations to senior executives on matters of significance, andas an advanced subject matter expert competent to work at very high levels in multiple knowledge and functional areas across the enterprise. Use your skills to make an impact Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree, in some instances a Master’s or Doctorate’s degree, and 10+ years of technical experience, or equivalent, and 2-5 years of project/people leadership

Work at Home Requirements

To ensure Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees’ ability to work effectively, the self-provided internet service of Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees must meet the following criteria: At minimum, a download speed of 25 Mbps and an upload speed of 10 Mbps is required; wireless, wired cable or DSL connection is suggested. In certain roles, the minimum recommended internet speed required by Humana may not be sufficient for business needs. Humana reserves the right to require associates to upgrade their internet service if necessary. Work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information.

Travel

While this is a remote position, occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required.

Scheduled Weekly Hours 40 Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc. $138,900 - $191,000 per year
